    Communication

At Oxford Spires Academy (OSA) we pride ourselves on our community values. We work collaboratively with all stakeholders as we all play a vital part in ensuring every child succeeds.

Oxford Spires Academy encourages good behaviour through a mixture of high expectations, clear policy and ethos, which ensure students show pride in their learning. We have in place a range of rewards to reinforce and praise good behaviour, regularly celebrating the success of all students in a variety of ways.

    Communication to families

We invite our parents and carers to communicate queries or questions in a reasonable and respectful way. We would recommend that parents and carers contact the school by email in the first instance. For pastoral or curriculum queries, contact is via:

Staff have full timetables, including teaching commitments, meetings and enrichment activities, which means that it is unlikely that they will be immediately available.  We will do our best to respond to you within two full working school days.

    • Emails and texts are only sent to parents/carers using the contact information held on our system.
    • Letters are usually sent by email. If you require a printed copy, please let us know, and we will be happy to provide this.
    • Parents evening bookings are made via MCAS. Booking information will be sent out approximately two weeks before the event.
    Unscheduled meetings

We always want to help get the best outcome for our students - however, it's important that we use the best methods to do this. Please do not come to the school reception without a previously arranged appointment as the staff member who is best to help you is unlikely to be available as they will be teaching or with our students. Please book ahead.

    Regular school communications
    • We will send out fortnightly communication to parents and carers via the MCAS app.
    • All students receive the OSA broadcast every Monday.
