Students should wear clothing that is comfortable, appropriate for a school setting, and reflects their role model status. Clothing should not be offensive, revealing, or dirty. Students may be asked to avoid clothing with offensive language or images, crop tops, tube tops, and ripped jeans.
Students should also be prepared to dress smarter for public-facing events such as open days, services, and tours.
Students should wear safe and clean footwear that is appropriate for the school setting. Flip-flops, sliders and crocks are not be permitted.
Students can wear jewellery but this must be removed if it impacts a students ability to engage in educational tasks or activities. Visible tattoos are not permitted.
False nails that impact a students ability to hold a pen and take notes are not permitted.
It is a safeguarding requirement for all Sixth Form students to visibly wear their student identification (ID) lanyard at all times for safety and security.
This is essential as Sixth Form students do not wear a school uniform and need to be recognisable to main school students and staff. Sixth Form Students can only enter and exit Sixth Form via Student Services or the main school gates with their lanyards. All students will be issued with their own student ID lanyard and will be responsible for its safe keeping. Replacement ID will incur a charge of £5. For safeguarding and security reasons, students must not bring external visitors on to the school site.
Sixth Form students are permitted to use mobile phones within social spaces in the Sixth Form building at break times. Students must put phones and earphones away when in the main part of the school where students from Year 7 to Year 11 are taught. Students are not permitted to have phones out in lessons.
