    Student Leadership

     Head Students 2024-25

    This team is chosen from the student body and takes on a number of leadership roles, including public speaking and representing the views of students from the Senate to the Senior Leadership Team.

    This is an opportunity for students to lead on a key aspect of Sixth Form life such as Culture Sustainability, House and Charity Events, Diversity and Inclusion and Extra Curricular. 

    The Role of Head Students

    The role of Sixth Form Head Students is one of significant responsibility. Head Students work in partnership with the Sixth Form Team and teaching staff, supporting and enhancing the education of students in the school and assisting with administration and supervision. Head Students are role models for younger students and as such, are expected to demonstrate maturity, show good judgement, be reliable and act responsibly at all times.

    All Head Students will be expected to:

    • Support events, both internal and external, in the Sixth Form and the main school throughout the year
    • Support with tours of the school for visitors e.g. prospective students / parents, governors, trustees, employers.
    • Attend regular meetings with the Headteacher
     Student Leadership – Student Council 

    Year 12 students lead the Oxford Spires Student Council, organising regular meetings and providing feedback to the student community and the Senior Leadership Team.
