Enrichment Week

A Week to Remember at Oxford Spires Academy.

From the 7th to the 11th of July, Oxford Spires Academy came alive with excitement, curiosity, and creativity as students took part in Enrichment Week 2025, a much-anticipated highlight of the school year.

Over the course of three dynamic days, students stepped away from their usual lessons and embraced a special timetable packed with hands-on activities, new experiences, and collaborative learning. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of our staff, the school has been transformed into a hub of innovation and fun.

The enrichment sessions offered something for everyone. Students tested their teamwork in the Engineering Challenge, dove into creativity in Cake Design and Make, explored history through Ancient Myths and Gods. Other standout sessions included Sport in the Community, Encanto in Spanish, Poetry Writing Retreat, Build a Biome, Library Legends, and exciting experiments like Egg Drops and Bottle Rockets.

There were also plenty of opportunities for students to express themselves and engage with their peers through activities like History Trivia Workshop, Let’s Play Golf, Volcano, Oobleck and Tea Lanterns, Personal Plaques, and the ever-popular OSA Podcast project.

The week ended on a high note with the much-loved House events, where students came together to compete and celebrate school spirit. The OSA Games saw House teams face off in a thrilling game of capture the flag followed by a lively water balloon battle. The energy carried on into the final event — House Karaoke — where students belted out their favourite tunes and encouraged their whole house to join in the fun.

To top it all off, students from across the year groups had the chance to visit Thorpe Park, the UK’s biggest theme park. The trip provided thrills, laughs, and unforgettable memories, making it the perfect way to wrap up a week full of discovery and joy.

Enrichment Week 2025 was a tremendous success, reminding us all of the power of learning beyond the classroom. A huge thank you to all the teachers and staff who made it possible — and to the students who brought their enthusiasm and energy every single day.

We can’t wait to do it all again next year!
