Parent & Carer News Update Dec 2025

We’ve reached the end of a wonderful Cycle 1, and this week we’ve had the joy of celebrating Super Teaching Week across the academy.

Students have spent time reviewing their assessments, strengthening their knowledge, and, in true OSA spirit, we even launched our very own theme tune for the occasion. It’s been a brilliant way to round off a term full of hard work and ambition.

House Music

House music was truly special this year. The panel was joined by our Year 13 A Level musicians, who brought their own expertise to the judging. Every student who performed showed exceptional courage and commitment to their music, and we are immensely proud of all of them.

House Drama

We were thrilled with so many excellent performances for House Drama. Our panel heard monologues from The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime, Lord of the Flies, Mean Girls, and Blood Brothers. Prizes winners were Noah, Albie, Rawah and Alex with Izabela taking the trophy for arhart House, for her spinechilling Shakespearean Monologue as Juliet lamenting Romeo's Banishment.

Congratulations to all students that took part.

As we head into the final two weeks, we have lots of great events for students to engage with and we want to remind all students about the importance of attending school every day. Every day really does count, and we appreciate your continued support in keeping students in school and engaged.

We’re delighted to be launching Cycle 2 on Monday 8th December! Students will receive their brand-new Scholars’ Guides, giving them a clear picture of the next twelve weeks of learning and the knowledge they’ll be mastering across their subjects.

Looking Ahead

We will be sharing Cycle 1 reports at the start of the Spring term. These will be produced using our new question-level analysis software, allowing you and your child to see a highly detailed breakdown of their strengths and areas for development in every subject, far more precise and supportive than ever before.

Thank you, as always, for your encouragement and partnership. We’re excited for another fantastic cycle of learning at Oxford Spires!
