The School Day & Term Dates

 Timings of the school day

Our school week is 32.5 hours. The timings of our school day are as follows: 

8:00am - Breakfast Club opens (Willows Cafe)

8:10am - School gates open

8:28am - Main gate closes, after this time students must enter via the Late Gate

8:30am - Tutor time starts, students arriving after this will be directed to the late tutor room

9:00am-10:00am - Lesson 1

10:00am-11:00am - Lesson 2

11:00am-11:30am - Lunch 1

11:30am-12:30pm - Lesson 3

12:30pm-1:30pm - Lesson 4

1:30pm-2:00pm - Lunch 2

2:00pm-3:00pm - Lesson 5

3:00pm - Restorative conversations, after school clubs and academic interventions

Autumn Term

Autumn Term 1 Dates

  • First day in school for students: Thursday 3rd September 2026 (Years 7 & 12 only)
  • All year groups in school: Friday 4th September 2026
  • Last day in school for students: Friday 16th October 2026
  • Term break: Monday 19th October – Friday 30th October 2026

Autumn Term 2 Dates

  • First day in school for students: Monday 2nd November 2026
  • Last day in school for students: Friday 18th December 2026 (12:30pm finish)
  • Term break: Monday 21st December 2026 – Friday 1st January 2027

Spring Term

Spring Term 3 Dates

  • Inset day (school closed to students): Monday 4th January 2027
  • First day in school for students: Tuesday 5th January 2027
  • Last day in school for students: Friday 12th February 2027
  • Term break: Monday 15th February – Friday 19th February 2027

Spring Term 4 Dates

  • First day in school for students: Monday 22nd February 2027
  • Last day in school for students: Thursday 25th March 2027
  • Term break: Monday 29th March 2027 – Friday 9th April 2027 (12:30pm finish)
  • Bank holidays: Friday 26th March 2027 and Monday 29th March 2027

Summer Term

Summer Term 5 Dates

  • First day in school for students: Monday 12th April 2027
  • Last day in school for students: Friday 28th May 2027
  • Term break: Monday 31st May – Friday 4th June 2027
  • Bank holidays: Monday 3rd May 2027 and Monday 31st May 2027

Summer Term 6 Dates

  • First day in school for students: Monday 7th June 2027
  • Last day in school for students: Wednesday 21st July 2027 (12:30pm finish)
