Oxford Spires Academy, part of Anthem Schools Trust, is celebrating after its Year 11 students received truly excellent GCSEs.
The Oxford Spires youngsters join teenagers across the country who are finding out their results following exams in May and June.
The youngsters have had many challenges to face, including the disruption to their education during the pandemic five years ago, when this year’s GCSE students were in their final year of primary school. Nevertheless, teenagers have much to celebrate on GCSE results day, and the students of Oxford Spires are certainly no exception.
This year, Oxford Spires is thrilled to announce a further rise in results, with the pass rate in both Maths and English increasing to 71% – continuing the school’s impressive improvement on last year’s already outstanding achievements.
The notable achievements at Oxford Spires include:
Headteacher of Oxford Spires, Louise Cowley, said:
“It has been a great honour to see our Year 11s get their GCSE results today and we are very proud of every single one of them.
Their commitment to academic excellence and their determination to do well has resulted in some fantastic results today – we are so proud of all our students and the bright futures they have ahead of them.
We would also like to thank the parents and families for all their support and the teachers for working so hard to ensure that our students do the very best they can.”
David Moran, Interim CEO of Anthem Schools Trust, said:
“Congratulations to everyone at Oxford Spires for their well-earned success at GCSE.
Staff and students have all worked incredibly hard and should feel very proud of the results we have seen today.
These achievements, along with the valuable experiences they have gained at Oxford Spires, will serve them well as they move forward into the next chapter of their lives, be it employment, education or training.”
