STUDENTS AT OSA CELEBRATE A LEVEL/B TECH SUCCESS

Students at Oxford Spires Academy, part of Anthem Schools Trust, are celebrating after receiving their A Level/B Tech results.

Teenagers across the country are collecting their results after sitting exams in May and June.

Across the country, sixth formers have recorded excellent achievements, with the students of Oxford Spires adding to this success.

Thanks to the hard work of both students and staff, there is lots to celebrate, with many students going on to take up places at university, or on an apprenticeship, as well as those who are entering the workplace.

Oxford Spires Academy is proud to announce exceptional A-Level results this year, alongside a “progress value score” of +0.59, which is an improvement of half a grade per student on last year, placing its sixth form amongst the top performers nationally.

This valued added figure shows how much progress A-level students made between the end of Key Stage 4 (GCSEs) and the end of their sixth form studies, compared to similar students in England.

A score above zero means students made more progress, on average, than students across England who got similar GCSEs.

This achievement reflects the hard work, ambition, and resilience of its students, as well as the dedication of its teaching staff in supporting every individual to exceed expectations.

Amongst the high performers/special mentions are:

    • Jeremiah Snelson – celebrated A*A*AA (maths, further maths, computer science, physics) and is off to the University of Warwick to study discrete maths
    • Naia Tickell – received A*AA (history, English literature and politics) and is moving onto the University of Bristol to study history
    • Daniel Olde Scheper (Head Boy) – achieved A*A*AA (maths, further maths, computer science, biology) and will be studying computer science at the University of Southampton.
    • Rafete Dauti – celebrated A*AA (media, English literature, art) and is moving onto the University of Oxford Brooks to study digital media. Rafete's A Level art was selected to be showcased at the Royal Academy Young Artist's Summer Show 2025 in London.
    • Maths Results – The department are celebrating an incredible 11 A*’s with 4* A* in Further Mathematics!

Headteacher of Oxford Spires Academy, Louise Cowley, said:

"Our students have shown extraordinary commitment to their studies, and these results are a testament to their determination and talent. To be recognised as one of the top sixth forms in the country for progress is a huge honour and a reflection of the exceptional education, support, and opportunities available here at Oxford Spires.

“Well done to all our sixth formers who again have achieved a fantastic set of results - we are absolutely thrilled for our brilliant young people, who have worked so hard to get the results they deserve.

“Our wonderful students are now going on to embrace university study or have secured apprenticeships or full-time employment and we wish them all the very best for the future.”

David Moran, Interim CEO of Anthem Schools Trust, said:

“Very many congratulations to the Year 13s at Oxford Spires for their success today.

“Students and staff have all worked so hard to get here and should be very proud of the results we have seen.

“We all want to wish our young people the very best in whatever they choose to do next, whether it is higher education, taking up an apprenticeship or starting their career.”
